Hello! I am excited to showcase my work. A little about my background: I graduated from Iowa State University with a bachelor's in physics. This gave me a strong background in problem solving. I now have a sense of "I can do anything!" I love to see how things work and am enthusiastic in learning all that I can. I am currently working as an office manager at a small privately owned neurology clinic in Lee's Summit. I meet and greet many people throughout every day and really like helping people. My family is very important to me. I have one sister, Aubree, who lives in Kansas City. My dad lives in D.C. and my mom lives in Oklahoma. I have one cat named "Cleo" but I call her Poof! The thing that makes me most happy besides family is traveling! I love meeting new people and visiting different cultures. It really opens the eyes and widens your horizons. I took the pictures on this site while visiting England and Ireland!
In my astronomy laboratory, a team and I completed a research project about the Iris Nebula. This project included taking several high resolution long exposure pictures of the Iris Nebula utilizing an 8" Meade telescope, reducing data using Unix and IDL to make a composite RGB image of the Nebula in colorful detail using data processing and analysis. This is where I was first introduced to the wonderful world of programming!
I really love programming. You can build so many new and wonderful things. The options seem unlimited! I've learned you can do so much with Javascript, from building a fun game, to building an app that is used by a local highschool! I am always interesting in learning more about what I can do with web developement. I am a junior web developer, skilled in HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, JavaScript/jQuery, node servers, using APIs and making AJAX calls, firebase, Node.js, Handlebars.js Express.js, MySQL, Sequelize, MongoDB, and React-js. I have recently been learning React-js! This is a really exciting new technology that I am working with that enables you to add onto projects relatively easily.
This is an app used be the Blue Valley NW highschool biology department to learn about genotypes and alleles using this fun app mating Huskies.
This app allows the user to create burgers and then devour them. It utilized original ORMs.

Recreated this non-profit's website to generate more traffic, bring in more donations, and add clarity to this rare disease. I worked in a team of 4 and in a weekend we launched the new site.
